My Brother Bloom

Hello Fellow Bloomie Lovers,

Sorry for not posting lately but I've been suffering from carpel tunnel syndrome.  My paw is now all healed.

I'd like to tell you about my younger brother Bloom.

Bloom always tries to follow in my footsteps  (pawsteps) but somehow cannot achieve my greatness.  To compensate, he has become a very mischevious bear.  For example, he likes to lock up his brothers in the closet.  When daddy (Marky bear) notices a bear missing, he knows to check the closet to see if he is there.  Sure enough, the missing bear is in the closet, very lonely and very hungry.  My daddy lets him out and gives Bloom a scolding.

The following day, Bloom speaks to his Uncle, (who is my "Uncle Grandpaw" ) who is as michevious as Bloom, and together they plot which bear will be held captive in the closet next. This is a lot of fun for sure both for Bloom and my Uncle Granpaw (Uncle Grandpaw has a lot of time on his hands as you can see).

I love my brother Bloom, and do my best to boost  his confidence. Lately I've been letting him play in the bearcino where he has proved to be quite a good Fireball player.  I also let Bloom be king of the Bloomie palace from time to time, but only for a day so it doesn't go to his head.

You see, I love my little brother Bloom and support him in every way I can.

Hugs and Snout Kisses,
Bloomie

Bloom Winds Fireball Challenge by a Snout

Dear Bloomie lovers,

It's bear- ficial.  Bloom beat Bloomie in the Fireball rematch at Aqueduct Bearcino on Sunday, but only by a snout.

At 2:30PM, my Daddy and Uncle Grandpaw entered Level 2P (where they have the food for Uncle Grandpaw) of the Bearcino for the rematch between Bloom and me (Bloomie)  at Fireball.  Upon entering the Bercino, a security guard stopped Uncle Grandpaw and asked what's in the TJ Max bag.  Grandpaw said his teddy bears were in the bag.  The guard picked up me and each of my brothers one by one and asked for their names. My Daddy introduced us all and even let Jungle Joe talk into the guard's ear.  Jungle Joe said "Hi, I'm JungleJoe, do you want to come on an adventure?".  The security guard laughed and let us in without incident.

Bloom wone the coin toss (held earlier in the Bloomie mobile) and was the first to start the Fireball contest.  Bloom hit many Fireballs and even hit a $50 jackpot.  When his luck ran cold (after 2 misses) I (Bloomie) took control.  Although I had my fair share of Fireballs, it wasn't enough to beat Bloom.

At first I felt bad losing to Bloom, but Uncle Grandpaw explained that sometimes it's good for other bears to win.  I thought about this, and then gave Bloom a big snout kiss in the Bloomie mobile and told him how proud I was that he was my brother.

Love and Snout Kisses,
Bloomie

Shhhhhh.....It's a secret

My Uncle Grandpaw posted the link to my Bear Mitzvah Video....see if you can find it.

It's a secret...so don't tell my Daddy.

Happy Mother's Day

Hello Fellow Bloomie Lovers,

Today is Mother's Day and I'm feeling kind of sad.  That's because I never got to meet my mother.  Apparently, she died while I was still a young cub.  I guess the fact that she  gave birth to approximately 25 bears, one dog, one monkey, and a horse was too much for her.  Oh well, I think she's looking down from bear-heaven smiling at us all.

This week I celebrated Uncle Marc's (affectionately known as Burger Head) bearthday as well as Uncle Bernie's bearthday.  We went out to dinner and even went to a show (Rocky loved the show).

Posted below are some new pics of me and my family.

Wishing you all a beary happy Mother's day.

Love,
Bloomie.

About My Daddy

I want to tell you about my wonderful Daddy.

My Daddy takes care of me and all my brothers - I have around 20 brothers and every once in a while I discover that I have another (my Daddy was a stud in his day).

My Daddy puts me and my brothers on the couch so he can keep an eye on us.  When he walks through the door when he comes home from work (where he says "purchasing" around 30 times a day), he says  "hello everyone, Daddy's home".

I get so bearcited when I see my Daddy.  He has blonde hair (almost natural) and blue eyes.  He always plays with me and all of my brothers.  He also takes us to bed with him so that we don't get lonely (he doesn't know, that I know, that he's the one who would get lonely if we all were not in the bed together).

My Daddy likes to go shopping, to say the least.  He cannot pass up a bargain, a/k/a Bloomie bargain.  I think my Daddy would buy hamster food if it were on sale, just for the sake of getting a good deal.  After a few weeks, my daddy realizes he bought too much stuff, and then returns the stuff that he couldn't sell on Ebear.  He's very clever this way.

I love my Daddy.  He's a sweetheart.

Snout Kisses to all my friends,

Bloomie

Below are some pictures of where my daddy goes shopping:

My Bear Mitzvah

Dear Fellow Bloomie Lovers,

Three years ago I had my Bear Mitzvah at my Daddy's home.

Lullabys to my Uncle Grandpaw

At around 11:15 every night, my Uncle Grandpaw calls me on the phone to speak to me and my brothers, and sometimes to my daddy too.

When Uncle Grandpaw is ready to go to sleep, I ask if he's "lying in the B, airing out his T, and happy to be speaking to me, his grandson Bloomie".   (B stands for buffo, and T stands for tuche).

Most of my lullabies are variations of:

"There once was a little bear named Howie, who was as cute as can be.  ..........  I love to sit on my Grandpaw's chest, because my Uncle Grandpaw is he best".

After the lullaby, I give my daddy a snout kiss.  He puts his snout (nose) next to the phone and then I give him a very long juicy kiss.   Uncle Grandpaw loves my snout kisses, I can tell.   I like my Uncle Grandpaw to go to sleep with a smile on his face from "bear to bear".

Uncle Grandpaw then wishes me a good snooze, Bloom a good day (Bloom is nocternal) and makes sure Sweedie is wearing his hat.

I love my Uncle Grandpaw, and I know he loves me toooooooooooooooo!

Bearcino Rematch

Hello Bloomie Lovers,

I told Professor about my loss to in the Bearcino to Bloom and Ben.

Professor told me that the fact that other bears participated in the slot playing threw off the sequence between Bloom and me, and thus Bloom may not have actually beat me.

So....Bloom and I will have a Fireball rematch the next time we go the Bearcino at Aqueduct....

Stay tuned...

Marbles
Freckles
Cracker Jack, Caesar, Special 2, and Maxie the cat (lives in Maxi pad with my Uncle Grandpaw) .

Big Win at Aqueduct Bearcino

It's official! Bloom handily beat me at the Bearcino. He won some big Fireballs on the slots.  The next big winner was Ben.  This was the first time out for him and he proved to be a great contender.  As for me, I must bearfess that I feel a bit bad about being beat by Bloom..  Oh well, I guess all underdogs deserve their day (that includes you Ben).

I went with my Daddy and Uncle Grandpaw.  They went to the Stage Deli where they had delicious brisket sandwiches and shared a potato knish (not as good as the potato pancakes I'm afraid).  Before going home, they had 2 humungous ice cream cones.  These boys love their food!!  Especially my Uncle Grandpaw (the first Jewish Santa Claus).

Here are some pics from the bearcino. In order of big wins - Bloom - Ben - Me.

Friday, April 27th

Ahh...the weekend is finally here and I am so bearcited.

On Saturday night I'm going with my Daddy and my Uncle Grandpaw to the Bearcino at Aqueduct.  Some of my brothers are going too, including:  Bloom, Happy Happy, Jungle Joe, Luigi and my cousins Happy Happee, and Ben (Ben is really a dog, not a bear, but please don't tell him).

At the Bearcino, my Uncle Grandpaw will use my paws, head, and new shoes, to press the buttons on the slot machine.  He will also do this with my brothers and cousins.  We create quite a scene at the Bearcino and sometimes Uncle Grandpaw gets embarrassed.

We will be going to the Bearcino in my new Bloomie mobile which I love.

When we get there, Uncle Grandpaw and Daddy will  eat at the Deli and have brisket sandwiches and share an order of french fries, or maybe a potato pancake.  After playing at the slots, they will have  a huge ice-cream cone.  My Uncle Grandpaw and Daddy love to eat.  Unfortuantely, Uncle Grandpaw's belly is getting quite large and I'm afraid he's turning into a Jewish Santa Claus..  I will have to put him on a Bloomiemosis diet.

I will keep you guys posted on how we do at the Bearcino.

Huggies and Snout Kisses to you all with a special shout-out to my Aunt E...., and Uncles M&C.  (I want to keep their names bearnonimous....at least for now.)

XxOo
